how to become the pope
To become the Pope you would first have to be a Roman Catholic and begin as a priest, rising through the ranks of biship and archbishops to become a cardianl and member of the Sacred College. Between the 15th and 18th days after the death of a Pope, the members of the college go into conclave, shut off from the outside world to choose a new one, and you have your change. If a conclusive vote is reached in your favour, it will be signaled to the waiting world by white smoke. You would be asked if you accepted; if so, you would become Pope from that moment, receiving the homage of other cardinals. You would be dressed in the white robes of office and appear on the balcony of St. Peter's to bless the assembled multitude and the world, and your formal coronation would take place a few weeks later.
